Parades, Rodeos, Donkey and Mule Shows, Internet Photo contests, trail rides, newspaper articles, and radio coverage have lead RMS LippyLuver Luc into his first HOF Continuing Excellence award. It is amazing when you keep track of all the events in this donkey boy’s life how he gets around. Example; Hudson Old of the East Texas Journal wrote an article on Luc’s sire and his get. TJC Lester stands at Doug and June Brown’s Diamond B Ranch in Texas. The article contained Luc’s story and wonderful photos. Luc has now shown off Grand Marshals in 8 parades and 6 rodeos in his Pacific Gig. He is getting to be well known around Grangeville, Idaho. Saddling up for a trail ride two little girls recognized him and knew Luc’s name, they came over to say hi and meet their favorite donkey boy! This past summer was spent exploring mountain trails with an assortment of riders including an 8-year-old girl that prefers him to her Thoroughbred horse. We will always encounter the “cute little mule” syndrome. Out trail riding a gentleman picking huckleberries, told me to prove Luc is a donkey, so I did! We both left the scene happy! Luc was High Point Driving donkey at Montana Mule Days this spring. He was shown in youth classes by 8 year old Cole Henrekin, was ridden by Janelle Rieger in performance classes and driven by Jim Kingma. It was a terrific summer! Kristi Kingma |
